North Durham Academy Celebrates GCSE Success

North Durham Academy is proud to announce a set of GCSE results, reflecting the hard work, resilience, and determination of its students and staff. This year’s cohort has achieved a significant rise in grades across a wide range of subjects, including English and maths.

Headteacher Mr Mark Gray expressed his pride:
"Our students have truly excelled. Their commitment to learning and their resilience this year has been nothing short of inspiring. These results are a testament to their perseverance and the unwavering support of our dedicated teaching staff and wonderful families."

Highlights –

  • - Maths grades have improved at both grades 4+ and 5+
  • - English grades have improved at grade 5+
  • - Science grades have improved at grades 4+, 5+ and 7+

The academy also celebrates the success of individual students who have been ambitious and resilient in their approach to GCSE and achieved amazing results:

  • - C Irwin Chambers achieving 5 grade 8’s and 4 grade 7’s
  • - H Lin achieving 5 grade 8’s and 4 grade 7’s
  • - A Nealen achieving 2 grade 9’s, 4 grade 8’s and 3 grade 7’s

As students prepare to take their next steps—whether into sixth form, college, apprenticeships, or employment—the academy remains committed to nurturing ambition and excellence.
