NCDAT Celebrates First Christmas Carol Service at Newcastle Cathedral

New College Durham Academies Trust proudly hosted its inaugural Christmas Carol Service at the historic Newcastle Cathedral, marking a milestone in the Trust’s journey of collaboration and unity.

This special event brought together students from across the Trust, uniting the youngest pupils with sixth formers in a celebration of music, faith, and community. Students performed readings and sang in the choir both as individual schools and collectively, showcasing the diversity and strength of the Trust. Adding to the festive spirit, a staff choir also performed, highlighting the dedication and shared joy of the entire Trust family.

The service was a powerful demonstration of togetherness, reflecting the Trust’s commitment to nurturing talent, fostering collaboration, and celebrating achievements across all age groups. By gathering in one of the region’s most iconic venues, the Trust underscored its vision of building a supportive and united community where every voice is valued.

NCDAT CEO Linda Rodham, said:
"This carol service was more than a festive occasion—it was a symbol of our collective strength and unity. Seeing our youngest pupils stand alongside our sixth formers, and staff joining in song, truly embodied the spirit of our Trust."

The Trust looks forward to making this carol service an annual tradition, continuing to bring together students, staff, and families in celebration of the season and the values that bind them together.
