LGB's

Members hold the Academies Trust Board to account for the effective governance of the Trust but have a minimal role in the running of the Trust.

A MAT is a charitable company and so trustees are both charity trustees and company directors. However, the terms ‘trustees’ and ‘directors’ are often used to describe the same role. At NCDAT we refer to our trustees as Directors.

Our Trust now operates two large academies in the north part of Durham. We also have partnership agreements with two other schools in the region and we are always looking to expand our Trust.
